Spawn-camping

Is it (spawn-camping) a natural part of gameplay, or should the impact be lessened whenever possible?

I was reading the article by
Vauleen on Nordenwatch, and he (?) talks about how the warcamp guards tend to be unresponsive and don't prevent spawn camping too much. I absolutely agree, either side Destro/Order can easily be spawn camped if one team is significantly weaker/disorganized/etc. I've played the scenario alot and you rarely see the guards move.. partially from good aiming, but also b/c they're really deep in the camp.

Fyi, I received an email that the Warhammer steins have been pushed back to August.. err.. this is not an mmo.. this is an mmo stein.. **shakes his head**

I love to push the enemy back to their spawn and keep them there. I rarely get bored of it, though there is less challenge to it and that can make it boring and sometimes if i was on the vent, i would suggest moving back and roar back to wipe them instead of just taking pot shots and taking one out at a time. Poor Tanks and mdps who are probably pretty bored. And I obviously hate it when i get spawn camped and wish our side would gather the courage to rush right at them and go for their squishies.. but that rarely happens.

The only solution I would have is for the game to be able to tell how many characters are behind a certain point and push the guards farther out or possibly create a roving group of guards similar to orvr infront of warcamps with high agro that would chase enemy spawn campers. Is it feasible? Well the game can tell where you die b/c your body drops in the general area, and the game can tell distances through spells both offensive and defensive. To make it tell where you are on the map, all stuck in your own camp, should trigger an event similar in quests or pqs to spawn some roving guards or to move them forward/increase their agro.

Poor Playstation..

Always left out of the party (only for 360 and PC). At first it was a 'ho-hum' reaction, but thinking about it more gets me more excited; Fable 2 was a fantastic game. Developers are normally passionate about their games, but the people at Lionhead seems especially fanatical.

My House!

Another [insert adjective] work week has passed by.. time for the weekend!

I love PlayStation's commercials, always creative and very funny.

The new Left For Dead 2 DLC is available for download.

Called: The Passing
Costs: 560 Microsoft Points (unconfirmed)
Saw my brother playing it yesterday.. was busy making potatoe salad for a department pot luck, so I couldn't really pay attention. Next time he plays, I'll try to see if i can setup my camera to take some in-game shots.

Finally after reading
articles found on various blogs, you'll notice EQ2 offering a different payment option: 5$ for 3 consecutive days of gaming.
At first you'll think: yuck, for 10 more dollars I can play as much as I like.
But after some thought, its great for all the reasons explained on the website, mostly focused for casuals.

A picture I took of some gargoyles on a church, once again Downtown Toronto

But lets get away from that (pros/cons) and lets talk about starting something else.
Different ideas in regards to payment options:

Weekend Warrior Deal -
10$

Starting on Friday at 12 noon
-unlimited play and access to accounts
- no Tier restrictions
Ends Sunday Midnight - cx can dictate whether they want to operate on Easter/Pacific/European time, to coincide with playing with friends easier

This not only applies to EQ2, but to most mmos in general. Great for those who don't have the time throughout the week to play, and usually find time to play on weekends. It's a cheaper alternative and provides more playtime than just 3 out of 30 days. It'll be good for students who may can't control themselves throughout the week and hurt the wallet less as well.

Possible idea for Warhammer Online
5$ for access up to T2 - unlimited days
7.50$ for access up to T3 - same

I guess a person could do the endless trial to lvl 11, upgrade for 5$ to max out in T2, then pay a bit more for $7.50, and at that point one would really know whether they liked the game or not, and could upgrade to a full account or just the Weekend Warrior deal.

I'm still on the Endless Trial, its only been 2 days of coming back. I like the changes that i've read about and experienced and would like to join my friend Ryelyn on Ironrock again. 15$ a month though doesn't seem to be worthwhile though as I find so little time these days when I have to maintain 2 blogs, take photos, edit them and everything else.

With these different pay plans, i'd totally utilize it. People get to save money, play the game as much as they like and in the way they want to. Mythic gets money.. everyone seems to win.

Xbox 360 Arcade on Sale

Only $129.99

This is the best time to get one if were on the fence of getting the system. Its not a perfect system but its a good deal at this price:
Quick Pros:
- great online system (tho not free) via Xbox Live
- lots of great action/shooter games
- comfortable controller
- easy online marketplace which allows downloads of expansions, patches, demos, and games-on-demand

Quick Cons:
- RED RING OF DEATH; not the most reliable system (nearly everyone I know that has one has had to replace it so far vs the ps3 which is rarely replaced [xp via working at EB Games])
- channels not as intuitive as the ps3

I'm thinking of buying it just to have an extra!

I'm not the biggest fan of the PS3, but I love their funny commercials!
